last week Jamie came over for a “special fitting” because she will be walking the “red carpet” with her Dad, James DuBose, at the Grammy’s !!!! Of course, she has got to look FAB !!!!

after trying on many different looks and colors,

Jamie decided she like the “pinkish, with gold and silver sequins” but I needed to add something to the neckline… so we experimented with lots of different colors of ostrich feathers …

I guess I was having that moment last year in Paris ! I just did not know what to call it !

I think feathers are timeless and classic !!! They should always be in style!

Martin Luther King had “DREAMS” for a better world for us !

“I HAVE A DREAM, …” fill it in for yourself… do it over and over again !

small dreams and big ones. dreams that seem easy and ones that don’t seem possible…

Although Martin Luther King never used the word “bullying,” I think if he were alive today, he would

be giving powerful speeches to end this terrible problem.

In his speeches, he might say, “I have a dream, … that my four little children will live in a nation free from bullying and bullies!”

Many things in his speeches can help us:

“Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.”

Too many kids are teased and bullied just because they are different in some way.

“The time is always right to do what is right.”

It is hard sometimes, but we must have the courage to stand up and step in for those getting bullied.

“In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.”

It is not okay to stand and watch people hurting others.

Staying silent is just like bullying.

I think Martin Luther King would have in his speech today,

“I have a dream, … that one day all children will be free from bullying !”

We all have dreams ! Lots of them ! Some of them make us unique and some of them

can bring us together…

WHAT IS YOUR DREAM?

I have dreams – big and small ones – just like you!

I dream of no one ever getting bullied again!

I want to present to you, my very own ‘masterpiece’, 100% inspired by cecilia cassini. 
I saw the material in the store yesterday and thought of cecilia….so I bought it and VOILA (as cecilia says), I created a dress that reminds me a lot fo what cecilia cassini designs. 
Cecilias famous speech ‘follow our dreams’ also inspired me to do this….it reminds me to follow my dreams and what I have most faith in doing. i hope one day I will be lucky enought to wear a cecilia cassini original!

so, … no matter language we speak, “Folgt alle euren träumen!”

First, at lunch, my grandma told me that a friend of her’s granddaughter from Boston

got “inspired by me and got a sewing machine!”

Then, at school, picking up my brother, one of his classmates, Bailey,  ran up to me and said,

“Hi, Cecilia! I got a sewing machine over the holidays and look what I made!”

Bailey was so proud to show me how she sewed the “black sequined love” on her top !

I love it! But, I love it even more because Bailey created it ! That is so cool !

Next, she says, she is making “cheetah pajama bottoms.”

She was really excited to tell me that she got inspired by me and that she wants to be a designer or a singer when she grows up.

Guess what I told her: “You do not have to wait to be an adult to follow your dreams!”

It is so exciting for me to hear about people getting inspired and encouraged to begin sewing or following their dreams – whatever they might be!

abbreviations
“Gooch” (Gucci)

“Cha” (Chanel)  etc …

If you are “SO IN” with the brands (as if you are BFF’s with them), it is okay to  abbreviate them.

Homage

Lots of designers or stylists will say that they have paid “homage” to so and so…

that really means that they have “ripped off” or “copied” them.

“Tricky”/ “daring”/ “brave”

If someone says your outfit is any of these words, take it as NOT a good look –  ”unwearable”.

“Work” / “rock”

We do not “wear” clothes anymore. We “rock” or “work” them !

“Hi Dawl”

is the proper way to say hello when greeting someone in fashion circles.

“Tres”

As in the French word for ‘very’. It says so much more than it’s English version. The better zzz french accent zzz better it sounds!
