“Let’s get dressed!” was the theme! I agree !!! If only everyone would “get dressed” all the time !!!
I think most of you know I started a new school ! I love it !!!!!
There is just one problem: And it is ONE HUGE PROBLEM !
DRESS CODE ! Girls must wear a collar shirt – yes like those shirts my brother wears !
Not easy to find girly tops because I really do not like those collared shirts !!!! Not cute…
Oh and the other prob is …. it must have sleeves !!!!
Well, I guess there could be bigger problems for me starting a brand new school ! But NOPE ! I love it !
The teachers and kids are soooooooooo nice !
ok…. now I really gotta go figure out what “collared” shirt I’m going to wear tomorrow!!!!
Rachel Zoe is defs one of my all time favorites!!!! She has the BEST style !!!!
Meeting her was incredible !!!!!!

how fun would that be ????? just one day with her would be so fun !!!!! you never know !!!!!

Besides going to all of the fashion shows and meeting all of the great people I met while in NYC this time, one of my
favorite days was just hanging out in the city…
Taking a carriage ride through Central Park on a sunny day is WOW !!!
Just as amazing was taking a boat on the lake inside Central Park !!!
I have always loved loved loved watching Project Runway – I mean it is one of my favorites, of course !!!!
I have always dreamed of meeting Heidi Klum !!!! Well, guess what !
Yep !!! In that huge crowd at the Project Runway Finale, I got to meet Heidi Klum !
She was so nice to me ! I am so excited because she asked me to make her daughters “pink dresses” ! Pink will defs be noooooo prob for moi !!!!!
so now I must start thinking about something special and pink and fab for her girls !!!!
I THINK I KNOW WHO IS THE WINNER… BUT WE WILL ALL HAVE TO WAIT…The show was amazing! MOST FASHION SHOWS ARE JUST ONE DESIGNER SO IT LASTS ONLY A FEW MINUTES BUT THIS ONE LASTED A LONG TIME BECAUSE EACH OF THE TEN FINALISTS GO TO SHOW THEIR COLLECTION !!!I loved watching all ten finalists collections walk down the runway!
I can’t decide whose was the best …At the end of the show, I was asked to comment for Fashion TV and LOTS OF OTHER shows….
After taking lots of photos outside, I rushed back in to see the Christian Siriano show…
I have always loved loved loved Betsey Johnson… I even “repurposed” one of her dresses…
But WOW ! Meeting Betsey Johnson was amazing!!!!! She was soooooooooooo nice to me.
I first met her at the Project Runway Finale Fashion Show…
You see the way she was hugging me, she told me “Oh My God, you are like my granddaughter! Would you like to visit me at my workroom?”
I can’t wait til next time I am in NYC because that is the first place I am going! I couldn’t go this time because right after her show, she was leaving on vacation…
So, long story short: I got to go to Betsey Johnson’s Fashion Show !!! OMG ! It was defs the best show I have ever ever seen !!!! It was so much fun ! So many great looks and great music!
The best was when Betsey walked out ! Well, she did not just WALK out… like all the other designers do….. She rode a bicycle down the runway. Then she did cartwheels!!!!
I know ! So fun ! But even more fun…. I got to go backstage and talk to her again !!!!!
It was so AMAZING and So FUN !!!!! This time she said, “Now don’t forget to come and visit me!”
You bet I won’t !!!!
I even got one of her runway tanks !!!!
Yellow taxi cabs…. Is there anything more fun than waving a yellow taxi cab down???
Well…. MAYBE ASKING THE NICE DOORMAN AT THE HOTEL TO HURRY AND GET YOU A CAB BECAUSE YOU ARE LATE FOR THE BETSEY JOHNSON FASHION SHOW !!!!
I am finally back … back from New York, back on track at school, back to blogging !!!
What a crazy weekend it was before leaving for New York !
It was Labor Day weekend and while you were all swimming, I was designing and sewing away!
Nate Berkus sent me a photo of a room he decorated on Thursday and asked me to create a collection for three girls “inspired” from that room !

I had soooooooo much fun at the fabric store! I was so inspired… Thanks to ISW, I got fabulous fabric to make my designs and “masterpieces”
I am not allowed to show you any photos from the actual taping of the Nate Berkus Show or of the girls in their dresses until the show airs …. But I promise you, I will just as soon as it airs! Actually, I will even tell you when to watch the show!
What I can tell you though is that taping the Nate Berkus Show was the beginning of an Ahhhhmaaaaaazing 10 days in NYC!!!!!
