REPORT CARDS ?

Nope !

REPORT SHOES !!!!

I went to an event at Fred Segal Feet showcasing REPORT SHOES fall line!

The funny thing is that the Report Shoes, which cost no more than $150 a pair, are displayed next to the Christian Le Bouton (however you spell it!!!) shoes!

I fell in love with the REPORT black flats with a big diamond bow ! And also the very high spiked heel sparkled half boots – so Lady Gaga!

Daisy Foundation

Have you ever thought about how nice nurses in hospitals are?

I mean, they take care of sick people when their family cannot.

This past Saturday, I met Riley and her grandparents, Bonnie and Mark Barnes.

We invited them to our house to show Riley my studio and dresses.

Riley’s dad died about ten years ago and so his parents wanted to do something to keep his friendly spirit alive.

They created “The Daisy Foundation,” in memory of Patrick Barnes :

” His legacy is clear: whenever he came across anyone in need, he never turned his back. He reached out to comfort, to make them feel okay. Pat was a natural mentor, sharing his phenomenally positive outlook on life with a wide network of friends and family around the country with whom he stayed in constant contact. The DAISY Foundation was established to keep his very special spirit alive.”

It was so great to meet people who care so much about saying thanks to all of the nurses – who I bet get forgotten sometimes.

“As we brainstormed what to do in Pat’s memory, the one really positive thing we could hold onto from the experience of his eight-week illness was the skillful and amazingly compassionate care he received from his nurses – even when he was totally sedated. So we created The DAISY Award For Extraordinary Nurses to recognize the super-human work nurses do every day all over the country.”

It is really cool that even the nurses at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles are getting recognized as well!

I think the Daisy Foundation is really special and I was so happy to meet Riley and her grandparents! They are so nice and doing such nice things!

I thought I could make Riley happy by letting her chose a dress!

Riley told me she loves to draw and play the clairinet ! Maybe she’ll wear the dress she chose to one of her concerts!

So next time you are visiting someone at the hospital, don’t forget to say “thanks” to the nurses!

My Sister’s dress…

Can you believe that just two days before my sister was going to the prom (not hers, just her best friend),

she decided she did not like the dress my mom had bought her – after a few Saturdays of searching for the perfect dress!

crazy! but…

Good thing she has me in the house!

I went to my fabric shelf and designed her the “perfect” dress!

Thank god she loved it!

now, I gotta think about what I am going to wear to my “fifth grade graduation party!”

xoxoxo, ciao for now…
