Last week I had the chance to visit with some super cute kids at Larchmont Charter School…
Jamia, the teacher, invited me because she teaches a fashion class to these kids after school each Friday.
How cool is that? I wish my school had that!
guess what we talked about about? Fashion of course!
I had a lot of fun telling the little kids about how I design and sew my creations!
I showed them my different sissors and scraps of fabric ! Many of them did not know how I got my scraps or where they come from.
They really seemed to love the idea that I make my fantastic hair pieces out of my scraps!
One little girl asked me about my “style” so we got into a conversation that everybody has their own personality and style !
I told them that each one of them is special and unique because they have their own style!
One little girl told me she wants to be a detective when she grows up!
I told her that she does not have to wait until she is 20 years old to be a detective. I told her that she could start now by helping her friend find the hair clip she lost…
I hope all of the little girls will follow their dreams!!!
I can’t wait to visit other schools!
Thank you for the awesome book you gave me, Jamia!!!
xo ciao for now, Cecilia
